From July 2017 to July 2019, Van made history as the only person to serve two consecutive terms as the President of the National Union of Ghanaian Students (NUGS) in Hunan Province, China. One of his most notable achievements during his presidency was his collaboration with the Chairman of the Hunan Mining Association, 王彪 (Bill Wang), to welcome Ghana’s First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, in 2017. This event was a testament to his diplomatic skills and ability to foster strong international relationships.
